FXtra's roots can be traced to CompuTrix  which began as graphic specialists in 1995.  In early 1997 training services were introduced.  By summer of 1997 extensive restructuring resulted in a new organization and was incorporated under the name of FXtra in the fall of 1997.  Today you will find two separate online divisions of FXtra, FXtra TC and FXtra Network (FXtra Net).

FXtra has continued to add more services and products in its efforts to advance both national and local area business participation in Internet practices.  By the end of 1997 FXtra introduced The Global Edge Market Place on the Internet in support of local and national advertising of its Clients.  In this same year, E-Checking software was made available to both FXtra's client base and new Internet customers.  In the summer of 1998 FXtra joined forces with International Investment Systems and co-founded Web Realty™, a marketing firm promoting Internet advertising through the utilization of a multi-level sales force strategy.  In the same year FXtra began providing Web Hosting Services to it's own development clients.

Fxtra Network was then founded as a division of FXtra, Inc. in 1999 due to an ever growing requirement for reliable and affordable hosting services.  FXtra Network began providing web hosting services to other development firms, independent designers, and ultimately founded branded hosting for ISP's that didn't want the costs and headaches associated with running their own network facilities.

In 1999, Global Edge was sold to the now defunct WebCombo lifetime dial-up ISP firm.  In the fall of 2000, ISP services for all of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and some surrounding areas of Greater Cleveland were added.  In early 2002 FXtra Net introduced  EZDial.Net, it's National Dial-Up Internet Access Services component serving both business and residential customers throughout the United States and Canada.

In February 2000, FXtra released the proprietary commercial version of  its Professional Presence Facilities (PPF).  PPF solved most of the "evils" encountered when using the "frames environment" in websites.  In August 2000, Free Legal Information websites were made available to Prepaid Legal associates.  In the Spring of 2002 FXtra Net entered into the National residential and commercial Dial-Up market with the launch of EZDial.Net.  EZDial.Net provided affordable and reliable Internet access until it was phased out at the end of 2007.

Among the later entries in FXtra's arsenal of great services and products were Premium Web Hosting Services, OSCommerce and terrifically priced Internet ready  PC business systems and networks (through partnership with Affordable Computers).
